Violet (Yuzek) Grazier

The family announce the passing of Violet Grazier (Yuzek) on Saturday, June 17, 2023 at the age of 91. 

A memorial service was held on Thursday, June 22, 2023 at 1:30 pm at the Holy Trinity Anglican Church (165 2nd Ave North, Yorkton SK S3N 1G5) with Rev. Kim Sherwin officiating.

Violet Grazier was born on November 17, 1931 on the family farm in the Ebenezer/Gorlitz District to George and Annie (Pilat) Yuzek. She grew up on a farm by Stenen, Saskatchewan and in Birch River, Manitoba. 

Violet met her husband Keith at a Toronto Dominion Bank in Winnipeg where they were both employed. They were happily married for over 62 years.

Violet was predeceased by her beloved husband, Keith; her daughter, Linda Tavonius; her son, Clifford Grazier; her daughter-in-law, Donna Grazier; her grandson, Jeff; her parents, George and Annie; her brother, David Yuzek; and her sisters, Agnes and Sylvia; along with other precious family members.

Violet is survived by and will be forever loved and cherished by her children; Ken (Marilyn) Grazier, Luanne (Randy) Hrywkiw, David Grazier; daughter-in-law, Brenda (Clifford) Grazier.

Baba will be sorely missed and never forgotten by her beloved grandchildren; Curtis, Carrie-Lyn, and Corey Tavonius; Tim (Loni), and Dan Grazier; Jason (Melanie), Brock, and Colin (Kara) Hrywkiw; and Matthew (Kim), and Luke (Jenna) Grazier. Baba was overjoyed to be a great grandmother and a great-great grandmother.

Violet is also survived by her sister; Alice (Harold) Ginter, her sister-in-laws,  Sister Wilma Grazier, and Betty Churchill; and special cousin-in-law, Cecile Goss. She will be fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
