Sandra Rae Cooper

It is with great sadness that the family of Sandra Rae Cooper (Elmy, Decelles) announce her sudden passing on Saturday, September 9, 2023, at the age of 79.

Sandra was born on April 23, 1944, in Lampman, SK. She grew up on the family farm near Kisbey before going on to become a teacher. Sandra taught school briefly until marrying Ernest Decelles on July 5, 1969, and starting a family. They had 3 girls together. Ernest passed away on September 8, 1974. In 1981 she met Glen and began the rest of her life.

Sandra truly loved the peaceful home and life that she and Glen built together in Yorkton during their 42 loving years together. She treasured the friendships with her friends and neighbours and had many memorable coffee dates and gatherings. Her favourite pastimes were tending to her many beautiful flowers pots and flower gardens and sitting out on the deck with Glen enjoying each others company. Sandra adored her precious dogs that were part of her family over the years.

Sandra devoted her life to caring for family and friends who meant the world to her. Sandra will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 25 years, Glen; children, Michelle (Jerry) Fehr, Rae-Ann (Mike) Nelson, Monique (Grant) Schmidt, Dean (Karla) Cooper, Dale (Jody) Cooper; grandchildren, Kierra (Cody), Karter, Marissa, Kayla, Peyton, Sarah, Taylor, Annalise, Kate, Ben, Michael, Steven (Ali), Sam and Brady; 3 great-grandchildren, best friend, Maggie Burgess and many other family members and friends.

Sandra was predeceased by her husband, Ernest Decelles, and her parents, Alvin and Nora Elmy.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 15, 2023, at 11:00 am at Christie’s Funeral Home, 121 Palliser Way, Yorkton, Sask.
