Raymond John Lemchuk, age 84, passed away peacefully on December 5, 2023 at the Yorkton Regional Health Centre with his family by his side. Ray was born on May 19, 1939 in Yorkton, Saskatchewan to Mary and John Lemchuk.
Ray farmed with his Dad in the Willowbrook area and drove taxi in Yorkton during the winter months. It was during this time that he met the love of his life, Arlene! They got married December 7, 1974 and soon after moved out to the farm. Ray enjoyed farming, attending auction sales, fixing farm equipment, welding, and visiting with neighbours in the Willowbrook area.
Ray and Arlene moved to Yorkton in April, 1986. He was actively involved in their Church and community, always ready to lend a helping hand.
Ray faced many major health issues after retiring. He was truly an inspiration to all with his positive attitude and strong faith carrying him through thick and thin.
Ray is survived by his wife of 49 years, Arlene, Step-Daughter, Bonnie (Clarence) Gruber, their children, Andrew, Garrett (Aisha), Hannah (Brendan), Daughter, Mary Lee Kelly, Daughter, Michaeleen (Marv) DeRuigh, their children, Bailey (Harrison), Brandon, Sister-In-Law Vicky Kohnen, Sister-In-Law Pat Berg and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at 1:00PM at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 73 Smith St. E. Yorkton, Sk
