Mary Roming passed away peacefully in Saskatoon on Friday November 1, 2024 at the age of 96 years.
Mary was predeceased by the love of her life, Norman Roming, in 2017. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Betty Ann Cunningham, Sharon (Peter) Yemen and son, Grant (Cindy) Roming. She was also blessed with seven grandchildren, Erin Linford, Robin (Jeremy) Bespalko, Colin Cunningham, Scott (Sheryl Chopty) Yemen, Mark (Andie Johnston) Yemen, Brittany Roming and Cally Roming, and nine great grandchildren; Connor, Tristan (Harper), Avery, Jackson, Chloe, Holden, Wynton, Beckett and Gibson. Mary is also survived by her sister Rose (Graham) Bowman.
Mary worked from a young age waitressing and then stayed home to raise her children. When they were all in school she returned to the workforce in grocery retail and then stayed home again once the children were done school. Mary loved having her family and grandkids around. She loved bowling, playing cards, gardening, walking and coffee with friends. Mary will be remembered in the hearts and minds of family and friends. She will be greatly missed.
A private Service to Celebrate Mary's Life will be held at a later date. The family would like to acknowledge and thank the healthcare providers at Royal University Hospital Emergency Department and also Ward 6200. The family would also like to extend their thanks and appreciation to the staff at the Hospice at Glengarda.
