Mary Harcolt passed away peacefully at the Jubilee Home in Foam Lake at the age of 92. Mary was born in the Sheho District, daughter of Peter and Bella Choboter.
She attended Pohorlowitz School. She left school early to help out on the family farm. In her teens she worked at various farms in the area. While working at the Malinowski farm by Theodore, she met John Harcolt, her husband to be. They operated a mixed farming operation until they retired and eventually moved to Foam Lake.
Mary enjoyed visiting with family and friends and always made sure that any visitor was well fed. She enjoyed attending events in the community and volunteered making perogies to raise funds for the facilities in Foam Lake.
Mary was predeceased by her husband John; her brother Wil; sisters, Olga and Hazel. She leaves to mourn her passing and cherish her memory; her daughter Pat (Harvey); grandsons, Steve (Jen), Derek (Suze); great-grandchildren, Amy and Matty, Lina, and Nico and Aurelia; sister Vicky; brothers, Alex (Margaret), and Ivan. As well as many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Donations in honour of Mary can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society (1-306-790-5822) or the Kidney Foundation of Canada (1-306-664-8588).
