Linton Carlyle Taylor was born on September 15, 1942, the 3rd youngest of 8, to Lorne and Elsie Taylor of Bredenbury, born and raised on the family farm south of town. Lint completed his school to Grade 8 at Clumber School and then boarded in town to finish his High School Education at Bredenbury School. After high school he trucked up north and then moved home to work for Gordon Harris at a mobile mix mill in Yorkton.
In 1961, Lint met Connie Bruce and they were married May 5, 1962. The welcomed their first daughter, Lorie in May of 1962, daughter Sandra in 1963, son Robert in 1964, son Richard in 1966, and son Rodney in 1971. They moved home from Yorkton to take over the farm in 1966 where they had a mixed farm until 2008.
Lint was a lifelong trucker, logging millions of miles over the years. He worked for Kleysons, Sears and many local farmers. After retirement, Lint and Connie spent many hours fishing and camping, curling and golfing, and attending grandkids and great grandkids activities. Every family gathering had some card or crokinole tournament. Lint would clean us out of money pretty much every time.
Lint was predeceased by his wife of 59 years, Connie in 2021; son-in-law Peter in 2024; grandson Justin in 2006; great-granddaughter Madison Burnay in 2004; parents Lorne & Elsie Taylor; in-laws Robert and Eleanor Bruce; and brothers Joe, Earl, Ray and Dar.
Lint is survived by his children Lorie Negraeff, Sandy (Dale) Kotzer, Robert (Heather) Taylor, Richard (Rhea) Taylor, and Rodney (Stephanie) Taylor; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sisters Myrtle McKay, and Shirley (Don) Burfatt; brother Morris “Turk” (Marj) Taylor; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Should friends so desire, donations in memory of Linton may be made to Bredenbury United Church, Bredenbury Sunny Side golf course, and the Bredenbury Community Rink.
