Lillian Nesbitt

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved Mother and Grandmother Lillian Edith Beatrice Nesbitt (nee Gross) on May 15, 2022 at the age of 84.

Lillian “Lil” was born on July 25, 1937 in Stornoway Sk.  She was the second youngest of five children. She was predeceased by her parents, Fred and Molly (Ruff), her long time loving partner John Ong; her brothers Alvin and Eric Gross; brothers-in-law Richard Burbank and Norval Vaughan.

 Left to cherish her memory are her three sons Murray (Val), Dale (Donna), Darren (Cindy) and her 4 grandchildren Chrissy, Denara, Samantha and Connor; her two sisters Miriam Burback and Ruth Vaughan, sisters-in-law Mary and Joyce Gross as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

Lil moved to Winnipeg when she was twenty years old, where she started her adult life and had three sons.  In 1978 she moved to Edmonton and lived with her loving partner John Ong until his passing in November 2014.  Lil remained in Edmonton till her final day.

The family would like to thank her friends Julie, Linda and Mary in Edmonton for the care and support of our mother. You will never know what that has meant to her family.

In lieu of flowers donation may be made in Lillian’s name to the Edmonton Human Society or a charity of your choice.
