Lawrence was born at the Yorkton Regional Hospital to his loving mother Marilyn Buffalo and father Lawrence Wapash (Sho-Tie).
Lawrences education started at Fairview School in Yorkton Dr Brass in Yorkton, Scot Collegiate in Regina completing his GED and carpentry at Parkland Community College.
He was employed mostly in construction as a tree planter in Big River, SK.
He leaves to mourn his loving mother, Marilyn Buffalo (nee Gordon), brothers; Brian Gordon, Shawn Buffalo-Genialle (Tania), Lyndon Asapace (Michelle), nephew; Wayne Gordon, niece; Deanna Gordon (Ricky), children; Arlana Gordon, Jonathan Bear, Angel Gordon, Lawson Gordon, Lavern Bear, Lauren, Matthew, and Conrad, and many grandchildren.
Lawrence attended church and camp meetings at a very young age. He loved to learn new words and the meanings by going through the dictionary.
Him and his cousins grew up together and were very close. After growing up they all went their separate ways… but the love remained.
He was predeceased by his father; Lawrence Wapash, stepdad; Sam Buffalo, sister; Heather Lynn Gordon, grandparents; Winona and Lawrence Brass, Georgina Mintuck, and Noel Gordon, aunties; Kimberly Lee Gordon, Beverly Ray Gordon, Shirley Lonethunder, and Quintina Wapash, uncles; Roy Brazeau, Andrew Poorman, and Eugene Gordon, brother-in-law; Dennis Bear, special friends; Gerald Whitefish, Leroy Whitefish, and Laverne Kakakaway.
