(John) Bruce Allin Obituary

John Bruce Allin, known as Bruce to all who knew and loved him, was born February 6, 1929, the oldest son to Alfred John Allin and Ida Grace (Eckhardt). He grew up on the family farm in the Crescent District of Hilltop.

Bruce graduated from eighth grade in 1944, and went to Chicago Vocational Training School in Edmonton where he studied auto mechanics and diesel. He graduated in May 1949. Bruce worked for numerous farmers around the family farm before getting married to Mary Oystreck on June 13, 1959. Bruce worked for Bowman Brothers in Yorkton, and then ran their shop in Kindersley.
Bruce and Mary decided to move to the Crescent District to try farming after having Arlene and Lloyd, soon after Barbara was born.

In 1973, they moved to Yorkton and Bruce worked for Morris Industries until he had a heart attack at age 63 and was forced to retire. Bruce loved fishing and taking drives in the country side, or riding his bike when he still had his mobility. In later years, he loved to go for rides in his scooter.

Bruce was predeceased by his wife Mary in April 1997; his parents Alfred and Grace and his brother Bill. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Arlene (Harvey) Mayer and their children Danielle and Kurtis. Son Lloyd (Julia) Allin, and their children Randy (Michelle) Allin and grandchildren Abigail and Natalie, Cheryl (Darrell) Bohach and grandchildren Cianna and Sadie, daughter Barbara (Kendall) Tibbett and their children Owen (Ashley) Tibbett, grandchildren Scott and Nate, Kyla Tibbett (Greg Mayer).
