Irene Dychko Obituary

Irene Dychko was born on December 3, 1934 to Metra and Anna (Hanas) Darichuk in the Willowbrook district.  Later they moved to Fitz Maurice where they farmed.

Irene took her education at Crewkerne school.  After school she worked at various restaurants and hotels. Irene then  returned home to marry Nick Chudyk.  They farmed in the Ituna area until his passing.

Irene then sold the farm and moved to her new home, Yorkton, SK, where she married Joe Dychko in 1973.  They were blessed with a daughter Colleen and Irene stayed home to raise her.  Irene then started work at the Enterprises, and then at Yorkton This Week Newspaper until 1992 when she had to quit due to some health issues.

Irene loved cooking, baking, growing a beautiful garden, crocheting, knitting, picture framing, beadwork, and puzzles.  She also loved making Afghans in her spare time, singing and playing cards.

Irene was predeceased by her parents Metro & Anna; brothers George, John, and Nick; first husband Nick; husband Joe; brother-in-law Andrew Shyngera.

She leaves to mourn her passing; daughter Colleen Gawryluik (Brian Louttit) of Yorkton, adopted son Glenn (Carmen) of Calgary; Two grandsons Brayden and Braxton; sister Sophie Shyngerer of Melville; and numerous nieces, and nephews.
