Hillary Perchaluk

Hillary Ruth Perchaluk was born October 29, 1979 in Roblin, Manitoba. She was the third child of Bob and Paulette Perchaluk.  Hillary grew up on the family farm midway between Shortdale and Bield.  Many fond memories were made there with her older sisters Linda and Robin and younger brother Jeffery.  They lived just down the road from Baba and Gedo (Reba and John) Perchaluk.  How lucky their family was to have them so close.  They were a big part of her childhood.

Hillary attended school in Roblin and graduated from Goose Lake High in 1997. She then attended Brandon University and graduated with a Bachelor of Nursing in 2001.  She had truly found her calling as a nurse.  She continued to help people everywhere she went until her passing. 

In 1996 Hillary had a daughter DeLaney Wynne Perchaluk.  She was all things to Hillary’s whole family.  Hillary and DeLaney lived in Roblin and Hillary took a job at the Roblin District Health Centre in 2003.  She loved her work here and made many close friends with Doctors, Co-workers, patients and their families.

In 2005 Hillary married Tyler Booker and they moved to an acreage they built together in the Bield area.  Hillary loved living out in the country and by the lake all at the same time.  She took pride in her yard and loved to entertain. 

In 2008 Hillary and Tyler had a son, Alyx Booker.  He was the perfect addition to their family.  She enjoyed cheering him on at hockey or ball. 

Hillary spent her final years with her special friend Craig Henderson.

Hillary enjoyed life, loved music and entertaining, and caring for others. Hillary passed on at her home on March 13th, 2024.

Hillary is survived by her children DeLaney (Jesse) Crivea and Alyx Booker, her parents Bob and Paulette Perchaluk, her siblings Linda Perchaluk, Robin (Brad) Perchaluk, Jeffery (Angeline) Perchaluk, Grandmother Hannah Andres, many aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews and close friend Craig Henderson.   She is predeceased by her Grandparents John and Reba Perchaluk and Harold Andres, and brother in law Adrian Gulay.

A private celebration of Hillary’s life has been planned.
