Helen Lillian Wiwcharuk

In the early hours of November 27 our mother and grandmother passed peacefully away. Known affectionately as “Baba” to her family, she was aware her body was failing but she remained sound of mind to the last day. We were able to share a few laughs prior to her passing - what a blessing it was. Her passing leaves a void but her memories are in our hearts and will be cherished as we go forward without “Baba”. She left this world knowing she was beloved by her family, relatives and friends. Our mom lived a long life - there were tough times and good times, but in spite of all that life can throw at you, mom was able to handle whatever came her way. Her family, her faith and her great sense of humour got her through 100 years of living. Her role as wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother was paramount. Her siblings and many friends throughout the years brought her much joy. She truly loved socializing with the gals.

Mom was predeceased by her husband Harry, her brothers - Tony, Andy, Joe, John, Adam and Ernie, her sisters - Eva, Emily, Stella and Gladys. She is survived by her sister Martha. Remembering “Baba” with love include daughter Jeanette (Bill), daughter Dianne (Ron), granddaughters Shannon (Paul), Kelly (Jason), grandsons Scott, Chris, Jeffrey, and great grandchildren, Kyle, Lucas, Cody, Elise. Other surviving family includes mom’s cousins, nieces and nephews. Thank you for phoning and keeping in touch with mom. She very much loved the calls and family updates.

To Colleen, Tracy and staff at the Gladstone Residence, we are beyond grateful. We were truly blessed to have “Baba” in your care. A genuine “Thank You” to all of you. Mom’s wishes will be honored.

Cremation has taken place and on a sunny spring day we will inter Mom beside Dad at the Yorkton City Cemetery.

Death takes the body,
