Hayes Miller Wohlgemuth popped into the world on December 6, 2016 and snuggled into the arms and hearts of his dad and mom, Gary and Char Wohlgemuth. He lived his life “full throttle” as he and his cousin Gage liked to say.
He was all boy - energetically riding his bike through mud puddles, playing in a sandbox full of water, and riding for hours on the mower with his grandpa in earlier years.
Hayes liked to rise early with a hearty appetite for pancakes and maple syrup.
He and his big sister Kennedy were nearly inseparable. They went to school together. They swam, played catch and frisbee, played many games and did countless puzzles. Lately he and his little sister Tegan played Lego almost every morning right after getting up at sunrise. He threw his heart into shoveling snow in winter. He was handy with tools and quickly before he left for Heaven he fixed the 2way bracket and a loose door handle for mom.
Hayes’ tender side showed in his kisses for his baby brother, Bennett. He frequently displayed his affection for us as his family. His 8 classmates with a wide variety of sparkly personalities were all closely bonded with him. The cats, Buzzy and Sarah, got his special attention. Soft cuddly blankets and teddy bears made him smile.
Hayes was a born farmer with a love for dirt. Ripping around in the garden behind the tiller in his bare feet, and making holes and hills were irresistible to him. He liked to help his mom grow anything he could pick and eat. Growing and selling Indian Corn and cleaning out all the grain bins he could gave him the satisfaction of earning money to buy himself toy tractors, RC truck and GT snow racer. When Kennedy and Tegan helped him with these projects, he willingly shared his money. Meals while riding with dad were especially good. After his last ride he headed home with some happy waves and a satisfied grin - no one imagining he was on his way home to be with Jesus.
Our broken hearts can’t understand but we know Jesus took him to heaven and we can’t wait for him to welcome us there:
His parents, Gary and Charlene; siblings Kennedy, Tegan and Bennett; grandparents Edgar & Loraine Wohlgemuth and Darlene Wohlgemuth; Uncles, Aunts and cousins; teacher Christine Penner; and classmates- Sadie, Hailey, Maddison, Avonlea, Sabrina, Terrell, Sanders, and Cedric.
He will be reuniting with his Grampa Norman.
