It is with sadness the family of Gerald George Campbell (known to many as George) of Bredenbury SK passed away suddenly Wednesday November 27, 2019 surrounded by his loving family.George was born in Langenburg SK on November 3, 1963 to Oscar (Slim) and Lorraine (Speidel) Campbell.George married the love of his life Carleen Chupa January 11, 1992. They were blessed with two beautiful children Ryley and Kelsey. George was very much a family man. His caring heart was felt by many.George spent 38 years as a CP Rail conductor, working in Bredenbury. After retiring in September 2018, he had a 2 week holiday and started working as a lead hand mechanical supervisor for Cando Rail Services until his passing.George did several volunteer hours for the Bredenbury Fire Department, Bredenbury/ Saltcoats Minor Sports, Bredenbury Rink President; he also played for many years with the Bredenbury Cougars.George, Carleen, Ryley and Kelsey enjoyed many hours together travelling, fishing, camping, quading, ski doing, and having back yard barbeques. Being with family was always a great day for George.
George was predeceased by his parents Oscar (Slim) and Lorraine Campbell as well as Baba and Gido Sawkey.
His memories will continue to live through his loving wife Carleen, his son Ryley (McKinna), daughter Kelsey (Colton) Malinowski. George was waiting to be a part of the lives of his grandchildren of those yet unborn.
George also leaves to cherish his memory his sisters Carol (Barry) Richie their children Sheldon (Maygen) Levi and Briley, Shona (Clifton) Charlie Herman, Sister Colleen (Clive) Boomer, as well as his brother Gary (Michelle) Campbell and their children Terrie (Jamie) Iyla and Meah Schwartz, and Logan Campbell.
George’s mother-in- law and father-in-law Georgina and Ronald Chupa, sister-in-law Glenda (Brad) Altwasser and their children Dustin (Bailey) Graham and Kegan Altwasser, as well brother-in-law Dale Chupa are also left to mourn the loss of George.
Prayers for the late George Campbell were held Monday December 2, 2019 from Christie’s Funeral Home and Crematorium. A funeral service was held Tuesday December 3, 2019 from the Bredenbury Town Hall with interment in the Bredenbury Town Cemetery. Memorial donations in George's memory may be made to Bredenbury Rink
