Elizabeth Doreen (Bond) Massey

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Elizabeth Doreen Massey (affectionately known as Betty) of Edmonton Alberta. Elizabeth passed away peacefully the morning of January 30, 2024 in Norquay, Saskatchewan at the age of 86. Elizabeth was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend.

Elizabeth was born on May 14, 1937 in Edmonton Alberta. She is predeceased by her Parents, William and Una Bond, her brother William (Bill) Bond, and her loving and faithful husband of 64 years James Massey. She leaves behind her brother Robert (Bob) Bond, 5 children, Gordon (Kerry), Norman (Toni), Allan (Ruth) Susan (Tim), and Todd (Sherry); 21 Grandchildren, and 22 Great-Grandchildren.

Elizabeth was a kind spiritual person who cherished her relationship with her creator, Jehovah God. She spent countless hours volunteering her time to teach her children and others about Jehovah.

She loved being outdoors, spending time with her family and friends on regular camping trips and get-togethers over the years and would often be seen cooking or soaking up the sunshine wherever she went. She is lovingly remembered by her family and friends for her quirky sense of humour and her beautiful, warm and affectionate smile, gifts that she has passed on to all of her children.

Elizabeths family would like to mention a special thank you to the staff at the Norquay Health Centre for their exceptional care and support while she was there. Words cannot express how grateful we are for the tenderness and compassion you showed to our mom.
