Elizabeth Larson Obituary

Funeral Services for the late Betty Larson of Yorkton, will be held on Friday, January 15, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. from Holy Trinity Anglican Church. Interment will follow at the Yorkton City Cemetery. Friends so wishing may make memorial donations in Betty's name to Holy Trinity Anglican Church as tokens of remembrance.Elizabeth Larson of Yorkton passed away January 10th, 2010 at the Yorkton Regional Health Centre. She was 88 years of age. Betty was born in Melville, Saskatchewan the daughter of Robert and Maud (nee Artus) Halliday. She married Patrick Gordon Larson, and they were blessed with the birth of one son, Eric. Betty lived her life in Yorkton and was a devoted lifetime member of Holy Trinity Anglican Church. She graciously served her church as a leader of the girls auxiliary, Superintendent and teacher of the Sunday School, People's Warden (quite likely the first woman to hold this position), Chairperson of Alter Guild and faithful member of Holy Trinity Anglican Church Choir. She was employed for many years as the secretary of Sacred Heart High School. The words of one of Betty's friends is the best description of her personality - "" She is a gracious and humble lady"". Betty was predeceased by her parents, Robert and Maud Halliday and her husband, Patrick Gordon Larson. She will be lovingly remembered by her son, Eric Larson and his wife, Laureen of Regina, Sk; her sisters, Mary Pelltier of Chelsea, Que., Dorothy Falconer and her husband Arnold of Kitchener, Ont; her dear church family and a host of good friends.
