Dwain "Breezy" Barisoff, age 74 of Kamsack, SK passed away in the Yorkton Hospital on Wednesday, December 22, 2022 after a lengthy battle with COPD. Dwain was born on March 31, 1948 to John Barisoff and Anne (nee Bloudoff) Barisoff of Kamsack. Dwain was married to Terrie (nee Rother) on July 1, 1972. They lived in Kamsack and raised three children, Jason, Rob and Trisha.
Dwain was predeceased by his parents John and Anne. He is survived by his sons Jason and Rob (Jenna), his granddaughter Jay, who held a very special place in his heart, and his daughter Trisha. He is also survived by his sister Diane (Ulmer), his brother-in-law Ralph, their children Chris, Dana, Sarah and their grandchildren, many extended family and friends.
Dwain started work with Kam-Crete in Kamsack in his early 20's and continued his work with the Broda Group until 2022 for as much as his COPD allowed. Dwain had the highest regard for Cas and Marie Broda and considered them his second family. Dwain teamed up with Gord Wlasichuk to build the Fore Fun Mini Golf Course at Duck Mountain Provincial Park and purchased the Runnymede Hotel where shuffleboard tournaments were the weekend destination. His favourite pastime was playing cards. Poker and cribbage were his favourite. Anyone who knew Breezy, knew of his kindness and generosity, always willing to lend a helping hand. He worked very hard his whole life, staying as busy and active as possible.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Stan Barisoff who was more like a brother to Breezy and a very good friend, always there when needed.
A family interment service will be held at a later date.
