Clifford Leith Pinder

1936 ~ 2023 (age 87) 87 Years Old

Clifford Pinder Obituary

Clifford LEITH Pinder passed away peacefully in his home on November 30, 2023, at the age of 87. He
was born March 21, 1936 in a rural home near Springside, SK. He was predeceased by his parents,
Clifford and Jessie Pinder, his siblings Lyle Pinder and Alma (Clark), and nephew Donn Clark.
Leith is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, June Pinder (Nehring). Together they built a beautiful
family and created countless memories that will forever be cherished.  Leith was a devoted father to
three girls; Karla (Greg) Patzer, Lorna (Kenton) Yost, and Kathy Pinder (Sean Carlson). He adored his
grandchildren; Jennifer (Mitch) Dow, Justine (Brett) Klumpp, Tyson, Courtney and Amanda Yost, and
Tyler and Levi Wiesner; and his great grandchildren; Kellen and Ethan Dow, and Hailey and Rylan
Klumpp. He also leaves behind two nephews; Wendel and Kerry Clark (and families), and niece, Betty
Leith spent his entire life living and serving in the Springside area. After attending school, he went to
work for Arndt Farm Service, delivering machinery and farm fuels to the surrounding areas.  After the
passing of his father in 1965, he carried on establishing and growing the family farm.
Many memories were made with June, and friends, travelling across North America, Hawaii, Cuba,
Mexico and Europe.  Impromptu family road trips made for amazing memories over the years.  Leith
loved to curl and spent many winters on the ice with his teammates. Other interests included supporting
June’s hobbies, attending music and sporting events of his children and grandchildren, and visiting with
people he met along the way. He was always ready and willing to support the interests and activities of
his family members and friends.
He served on Springside Town Council and was involved in developing the initial municipal
infrastructure. The row of spruce trees along Railway Avenue were a significant source of pride as he
helped select, plant, and nurture them. Leith was very active in providing leadership in his community,
and sat on many local boards including the Curling, Recreation and Senior Hockey Club.  Additionally, he
served as a director on the Springside Credit Union Board, and was the recipient of the Order of Merit
for his 45 consecutive years of service. He attended Springside Baptist Church where he served as
trustee, and lived out his faith by blessing many people over the years with his compassion and humble
acts of kindness and generosity.
His passion for farming and the community, and his unwavering dedication, work ethic and
unconditional love for his family remain his legacy.
Leith spent his final years in the comfort of his own home, lovingly cared for by his dedicated wife.  We
are at peace knowing that God’s master plan is perfect.
Our family would like to express their gratitude to the incredible neighbours and supportive
community who have provided love and care for both Leith and June.
