Bruce Dionne of Yorkton, Saskatchewan passed away peacefully with his loving wife by his side on September 22, 2021. Bruce was 61 years young.
Bruce, son of Ferdinand and Florence Dionne (Watson) was born on August 29, 1960 in Yorkton, Saskatchewan. Bruce enjoyed his work as a welder at various places. He met and fell in love with Alice Macek in 1977. They were united in marriage on November 23, 1979. Their marriage was blessed with three wonderful sons: Chadwick, DeRay and Brykan.
Bruce’s favourite past time was fishing, but that changed when the light of his life came along- his granddaughter Tessa. He spent every day with her and they developed a very special bond. Seven years later, another granddaughter, Molly brightened up his life. Bruce was a proud Papa and was always quick to be there for his granddaughters- sharing his knowledge of everything, helping them read, sneaking them treats and dancing all day.
Unfortunately, Bruce took ill shortly after. He had a long and valiant fight against cancer for three years. Despite the pain, Bruce came out a hero and stayed strong until the end.
Bruce was predeceased by his grandparents Les and Anne Watson; his mother Florence Dionne; and his mother and father in-law Joseph and Elizabeth Macek.
Bruce leaves to mourn his passing and cherish his memory his wife Alice Dionne; sons Chadwick (Gayla), DeRay, and Brykan; granddaughters Tessa and Molly; two sisters Theresa (Harvey), and Shelly; and four brothers Les (Chris), Brent, Derrick, and Fred; as well as his many nephews and nieces whom he dearly loved.
