With sadness, the family announced the passing of Allan Rosin on Friday, December 22nd, 2023.
Allan was born at the Yorkton Union Hospital on August 12th, 1947, the son of William (Bill) and Elsie (Becker) Rosin. He was baptized on September 14th, 1947 and confirmed into the Lutheran faith on April 15th, 1962 at the Trinity Lutheran Church, Churchbridge. Allan received his education in Bredenbury. From there he started working with his dad operating a truck servicing oil field equipment in both Saskatchewan and Manitoba. Allan was very involved in farming on the family farm. They operated a feedlot for several years - many hours were spent grinding feed for cattle. He spent the summers cutting and baling wherever he could find feed. Then they moved strictly to grain farming. After retiring Allan stayed on the farm till the time of his passing.
Allan was an avid fan of the Blue Jays, Roughriders, and mainly the Edmonton Oilers but would cheer for any Canadian hockey team.
After he retired, he enjoyed driving around crop checking and keeping tabs on the harvest. We all recognized that truck. He also enjoyed going to his sisters' houses for coffee in the mornings. Hearing what was going on in our families' lives and seeing pictures that they would have of the younger ones. He was proud of the accomplishments of his nieces and nephews.
Allan's health was failing for the last number of years. It was making it hard to stay on the farm and he had said a month earlier that he would have to move into town this spring. Unfortunately, that didn't happen.
Allan is predeceased by his parents Bill and Elsie Rosin, and brother-in-law Dale Kitzul. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by those who knew him.
He leaves to mourn and to celebrate his life Donna and her husband Donald Kitzul of Bredenbury, and their children Jaime (Keith) Belitski, Savanna, Griffen, and Maddison Belitski, Robin (Brett) Ruf, Paxton and Payton Ruf. Brenda Kitzul of Bredenbury, her children Warren (Brooke) Kitzul, Livia and Jack, Regan (Jena) Kitzul, Connor and Camryn. Audrey and her husband Dennis Nagy of Bredenbury, Megan (Tom) Dehod and Rudie, Brooke Nagy, and Taylor Nagy. Aunt Thersa Rosin, Uncle Erwin and Lillian Becker as well as numerous cousins.
The Funeral Service will be held on January 5th, 2024 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Churchbridge with Pastor Airton Glitz officiating. In memory of Allan, and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church in Churchbridge.
