Winnifred Mary Legge, daughter of Lenard and Mary Kilgour of Buchanan, Saskatchewan, was born April 30, 1933 and passed away at home in Yorkton, SK.
Winnifred was united in marriage to Gordon Legge in 1972. The marriage took place at Lenard Kilgour’s farm.
Winnifred attended school at Bellenden, SK. Winnifred had one daughter Bonnie Lynne Thomas (nee Kilgour) who was born on June 24, 1965 to a previous marriage. Winnie and Gordon were blessed with a son, Robbert Colin Legge, born April 25, 1973. Winnifred also had three step-children, Judy Hershmiller, Dianne Thompson and David Legge.
Winnifred was known for always helping anyone who needed it. Winnifred was always having dessert and coffee ready for company. Friends and neighbors were always complimenting her on her gardens and flower beds and especially her cooking.
Winnifred was predeceased by her loving husband, Gordon Legge, her son Robbert Colin Legge and granddaughter Carol Lynne Lyndsey Focht, parents Lenard and Mary Kilgour, brother Len Kilgour, sister Betty Paulson, brother Jack Kilgour, sisters in law Mary Kilgour and Barb Kilgour of Michigan, brothers in law Tom Currah, Lawrence Belitski and Dory Paulson, and niece Bernadette Belitiski.
Winnifred leaves to mourn her sisters Dorothy Currah of St. Thomas, Ontario and Penny Belitski, daughter Bonnie Thomas of Yorkton, SK, step children David Legge (Karen), Judy Hershmiller (Don) and Dianne Thompson, grandchildren, great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and countless friends.
Winnifred lead a devoted life to those she loved. She will be greatly missed.
