It is with great sadness that Teresa’s family announces her passing after her brave journey with cancer.
Teresa fulfilled many roles throughout her life: first as a daughter and sister, then a mother and friend, and finally spouse, grandmother and great-grandmother. A true matriarch, Teresa put her heart and soul into everything she did. Whether it was caring for the neighbourhood children, lending a shoulder to cry on, chaperoning a bunch of teenagers, supporting her coworkers, or hanging out with her many extended family members, Teresa was as much a staple in her community as she was with her relatives. Teresa’s greatest dream was to one day run a camp for troubled youths; she was able to realize this accomplishment as a cook at a camp for abused children. She often said how much she enjoyed working with the children and support staff during that time, remarking with admiration how much she loved seeing the children’s lives transform into something better, if even for a brief period.
Teresa will be forever remembered in the hearts of all who knew her. She is survived by her spouse, David; mother, Pauline; siblings; children; grandchildren; great-grandchild; nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her infant son, Andrew; stepson, Kory; and father, Andrew. In accordance with her wishes, there will be no funeral service. Anyone who would like to make donations in Teresa’s name may do so to the Cancer Lodge of Regina.
