Raymond Schick was born on March 25, 1935 in Killaly, SK to John and Mary Schick. He was raised on the family farms in the Killaly, Grayson, and Waldron areas until he and his brother Delmer along friends went to work in Kitimatt B.C. for the summer of 1957. After his return he worked on various farms in Saskatchewan until he took a course in Masonry and Bricklaying and worked on many projects including a section of the Yorkton Regional Hospital. In 1964 he moved to Hudson Bay, SK., and farmed with his brother Delmer until they sold the farm in 2009 he then moved into Hudson Bay until he entered the Preeceville Nursing Home in 2011, he was then transferred to the Theodore Nursing Home in 2014, followed by a move to Country Meadows in the Yorkton and District Nursing Home where he remained until his passing on October 25, 2019.
He was predeceased by his parents John in 1988, and Mary in 2000, one sister and one brother in infancy, a sister Doreen in 2002. He is survived by his Brothers; Arnold at the Morris Lodge in Bangor SK., Delmer (Jean) of Yorkton, Sk., Elmer (Sharon), Wilbert (Ruth), Herb (Janet), Vern (Candy), and one sister Hilda all of Melville, SK., as well as many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
